Sands China Announces Bonus and Wage Increase for Team Members

Macao, Jan 18, 2019) – Sands China Ltd. (HKEx: 1928) will pay a discretionary bonus to all eligible full-time team members on Jan. 31, 2019, in recognition of their contributions in 2018.


In addition, the company is adjusting the wages of eligible team members effective March 1, 2019, benefiting 99 per cent of Sands China’s approximately 28,000 team members.


On January 31, 2019, a discretionary bonus equivalent to one month’s pay will be paid to non-management team members who have been with the company for one year or more. A discretionary bonus will also be paid to all management team members based on the company’s Management Incentive Plan. Those who have worked for Sands China for less than one year will receive prorated bonuses if they joined the company before October 1, 2018, and are still employed on January 31, 2019.


Effective March 1, 2019, an increase in wages of MOP 600 per month will be paid to eligible full-time team members who earn MOP 13,000 or less per month (before tax). This will result in an effective pay increase for those team members of between 4.6 and 6 per cent. Eligible full-time team members earning monthly salaries above MOP 13,000 will receive a 2.5 per cent pay rise.
