Sands Cares Ambassadors Join Macao Govt.’s Green Week and Women’s Sports Carnival
(Macao, April 2, 2019) –
Sands Cares Ambassadors
recently supported two Macao government
initiatives: the 38th Macau Green Week –
Green Walk and Tree Planting
Activity and Women's Sports
Carnival
2019.
On March 24, around 40 Sands Cares
Ambassadors hiked along the Grand Taipa
Hiking Trail and replanted trees on Taipa
Grande Hill. The annual Green Week
event is organised by the Municipal Affairs
Bureau and gives participants the
opportunity to embrace nature and increase
their awareness of environmental protection
issues.
And on March 13 and 14, around 20 Sands
Cares Ambassadors went to the Tap Seac
Multisport Pavilion to participate in
Women's Sports Carnival 2019, in
support of the government’s initiative to
promote health and wellness. Organised by
the Sports Bureau and the Women’s
Association of Macau, the event aims to
promote the advantages of sports and to
encourage them to cultivate the good habit
of lifelong
exercise.
