Over 40 Sands China team

government’s new exhibition at the Macau
Forum Monday – The Broad Waves of a
Great River: Exhibition on 70 Years of
Folk History in China – in
commemoration of the 70th

China.
The activity is part
of Sands China’s ongoing effort to promote
professionalism education, strengthen team
member’s knowledge of the establishment of
the People's Republic of China, and offer a
wide variety of team member
activities.
“Professionalism
education is one of the important ways Sands
China can invest in our team members,” said
Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China
Ltd. “We hope this exhibition gives our team
members the opportunity to deepen their
knowledge of the mainland and strengthen
their understanding of national affairs,
during this milestone year of China’s 70th
and the Macao SAR’s 20th
anniversaries.”
The exhibition
explores the development of modern China
from 1949 to 2019 from the perspective of
folk history, examining the rise in
prosperity of the Chinese people and the
development of the nation. It features over
600 historical photos, more than 300
exhibits, a documentary, and multimedia 3D
experiences.
The exhibition was
coordinated by the coordination department
of the Liaison Office of the Central
People's Government in the Macao Special
Administrative Region, and is supported by
members of the Macao SAR National Committee
of the Chinese People's Political
Consultative Conference. It was hosted by
Macau Daily News and the Macao Trade and
Investment Promotion Institute, co-organised
by the Jianchuan Museum and the Chinese
National Solidarity Promotion Association,
sponsored by the Macao Foundation, and
presented in collaboration with the Macao
Oral History Association and the Macao
Nostalgic Collection
Society.
Sands China is
committed to raising the awareness and
understanding of professionalism education
of its more than 29,000 team members through
various initiatives. Apart from activities
such as exhibition visits, field trips, film
screenings, professional lectures, and
others, the company has set up
professionalism education banner stands at
its properties’ team member back-of-house
areas. The company has also arranged for
team members to participate in Macao’s first

co-organised with the Labour Affairs Bureau
and the Macao Federation of Trade Unions.
Launched in 2016, the programme has since
trained over 5,200 team members, with a
