Sands China Screens “My People, My Homeland” for Team Members
Part of company’s ongoing professionalism education efforts

Sands China team members
viewed a screening of the film “My People,
My Homeland” at Cinema Alegria Oct. 27,
hosted by Sands China as part of the
company’s ongoing effort to build
professionalism and deepen understanding of
national development among team members,
aiming to develop their understanding of
China’s history and
culture.
“Sands China is
pleased to give this opportunity to our team
members to continue their professionalism
education and enhance their understanding of
the nation’s development,” said Dr. Wilfred
Wong, president of Sands China Ltd. “We hope
the viewing of ‘My People, My Homeland’ can
help reinforce our team members’ national
identity, enabling them to continue making
contributions to support the advancement of
the
nation.”
Over 120 team
members joined last Tuesday’s screening
session. Winky Tsang, a human resources
officer, said: “Thanks to the company’s
arrangements, I was able to learn about
China’s achievements in an interesting way
with this film. The session definitely
helped me learn even more about our
country’s culture, history and development.
This year I participated in two seminars,
which helped me understand the importance of
One Country, Two Systems and given me
confidence and pride in the future
development of Macao and the Greater Bay
Area.”
Sands China Ltd. has
been committed to improving the
professionalism of its team members. Since
July 2016, Sands China launched its
professionalism training series and
cooperated with government authorities,
associations and others to organise over 20
initiatives for team members of all levels,
including interns and recent university
graduates. The activities have included
professional literacy training courses,
professional lectures, a Guangdong-Hong
Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Visit,
professionalism training in Beijing for
executive team members, film screenings, a
visit to the National Security Education
Exhibition, and a distinguished guest
speaker series, covering topics of
economics, culture, and technology.
Through various
initiatives and promotional panels at
back-of-house team members areas, the
company helps deliver professionalism
training and knowledge to enhance team
members’ professional knowledge. In
addition, the company also invites members
from local associations to participate in
the activities, to learn the development of
Macao, the Greater Bay Area and the country
together.
