Sands China Team Members Visit Photo Exhibition Celebrating 100th Anniversary of Founding of China's Communist Party

Helping cultivate spirit of "Loving the Mainland and Loving Macao"

(Macao, June 25, 2021) – Nearly 40 Sands China team members, including senior management from various departments, enjoyed a guided tour of a photo exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), at the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Thursday.

With this activity, the company aimed to give team members an understanding of the achievements of the CPC throughout its 100-year history and cultivate the spirit of "Loving the Mainland and Loving Macao," thus propelling the nation's and Macao's development.

The exhibition was co-organised by the State Council Information Office, the Macao SAR Government, and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR. Sands China team members were given a guided tour of all four sections of the exhibition, comprising 298 photographs, and learned more about the 100 years of both struggle and success of the Communist Party of China.

"The leadership of the CPC has laid a solid foundation for the steady and sustained implementation of the 'One Country, Two Systems' principle in Macao," Sands China Ltd. President Dr. Wilfred Wong remarked. "We hope that by looking back at the storied history of the party, team members will develop awareness and understanding of the nation's development, hence deepening their love for China and Macao."

Sands China has continuously enhanced team members' understanding of the nation's history and development. In this year that marks the centenary of the CPC, the company has held an array of initiatives to enhance team members' sense of national pride, including a seminar in April titled "The 100-Year Path to Glory," co-organised with National Conditions Education Association (Macau). The seminar was facilitated by Han Dongxue, a professor from Tsinghua University, who gave team members an account of China's development throughout different stages, so that they can further contribute to the mainland's and Macao's development.
