The Parisian and Venetian Celebrate Anniversaries with Team Members
Back-of-house festivities mark properties' 5- and 14-year anniversaries
(Macao,
Sept. 20, 2021) – Sands China Ltd. recently
marked the anniversaries of The Parisian Macao and The
Venetian® Macao with team members,
celebrating the occasions with them at back-of-house
events honouring their contributions to the properties'
successes.
On Sept. 13,
The Parisian Macao reached its five-year milestone, and
team members celebrated with entertainment, games and
lucky draws at The Parisian's team member dining room.
And on Aug. 28, team members enjoyed a special
anniversary meal at The Venetian Macao's team member
dining room for the integrated resort's 14th
anniversary.
Dr. Wilfred
Wong, president of Sands China Ltd., said: "The Venetian
Macao became an instant icon of Macao when opening in
2007. And following the success of this flagship
property, Sands China has since added to its portfolio
The Plaza® Macao; Sands® Cotai
Central, now reborn as The Londoner® Macao;
and The Parisian Macao – while in the process
transforming the Cotai skyline and realising the
long-term vision of the company. Our sincere gratitude
goes to our team members for their remarkable
contributions to our successes, especially amid the
challenges of the pandemic. As we celebrate, we look
forward to gaining and celebrating more achievements
with our talented and dedicated team
members."
As Macao's
first and still its most well-known integrated resort,
The Venetian has hosted 386 million visitors over the
last 14 years, with nearly 12 million room-nights sold.
Its vast entertainment and MICE venues have welcomed
celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Aaron Kwok, and The
Rolling Stones; presented sports events like Fists of
Gold that were shown live around the world; hosted
large-scale meetings of over 10,000 participants for
multinational giants; and staged shows like Cats and
Beauty and the
Beast.
Opened in
2016, The Parisian Macao stands as a landmark on the
Cotai Strip with its instantly recognisable half-scale
replica of the Eiffel Tower. With the establishment of
this French-themed resort five years ago, Sands China
realised its vision for Cotai and is continuing its
efforts to help build Macao as a world centre of tourism
and leisure, having invested US$15 billion in Macao to
date.
