The Venetian Macao Celebrating 15th Anniversary with Team Member Events

Activities and prizes for team members and their friends and family through December


(Macao, Aug. 29, 2022) – In celebration of The Venetian® Macao's 15th anniversary, Sands China held an opening ceremony Monday at the Venetian ballroom for its V-Celebrate, V-Fun & V-Appreciate series of activities to show the company's appreciation for team members and their families while offering an opportunity for them to have fun.


One of the campaign's key elements is a celebration carnival, which is running until Sept. 15 at The Venetian Ballroom. It features:
   • Theatre area with "Making of Venetian" documentary on screen
   • "V-Care" exhibition showcasing team member growth with Sands China
   • A throwback tunnel
   • Team member knowledge quiz
   • Fun games
   • Handicraft souvenir workshops
   • Lucky draws


"The Venetian Macao is Macao's first and still its most visited integrated resort, and a must-visit attraction in Macao," said Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd. "This game changer has paved the way for Cotai's other integrated resorts and the development of Macao into a world centre of tourism and leisure. An afternoon celebration at The Venetian Macao's team member restaurant was also held Monday, where team members enjoyed a special anniversary meal. The occasion also featured a musical performance, games and lucky draws to honour team members' contributions to the property's successes.


Also this month and continuing through December is a Venetian experience for team members, family, and friends. Interested team members and their families and friends can enrol for a variety of activities where they can get a taste of The Venetian Macao's services and facilities, such as gondola rides, Grado mini golf, and the Qube kids' play zone, as well as attend beverage workshops with the company's celebrated tea master and bartender.


The campaign also features social media activities running on the Sands China Careers Facebook page from August through September. These activities, themed around the anniversary celebration of The Venetian Macao, are open to team members and their families. By joining these activities or sharing remarkable moments of the campaign on social media platforms, participants are eligible for a chance to win hotel accommodation, dining vouchers, and other prizes.


As Macao's first and still its most well-known integrated resort, The Venetian Macao has hosted 386 million visitors over the last 15 years. Its vast entertainment and MICE venues have welcomed celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Aaron Kwok, and the Rolling Stones; presented sports events like Fists of Gold that were shown live around the world; hosted large-scale meetings of over 10,000 participants for multinational giants; and staged theatre shows like "Cats" and "Beauty and the Beast."


With the establishment of The Venetian Macao, Sands China has since added to its portfolio The Plaza® Macao; Sands® Cotai Central, now reborn as The Londoner® Macao; and The Parisian Macao, in a bid to realise its vision for Cotai. The company is continuing its efforts to help build Macao as a world centre of tourism and leisure, having invested US$15 billion in Macao to date.
