organisations to aid their responsible gaming efforts in
2023.
Since 2006,
Sands China has made more than MOP 6.9 million in

part of the company's commitment to corporate social
responsibility and its support to the sustainable
development of the local
community.
At a ceremony
March 8 at The Venetian® Macao, Andy Kobel,
Sands China's senior vice president of table games and
gaming optimization, and Michael Lee, the company's vice
president of concession administration and casino
compliance, presented ceremonial donation cheques to
representatives of this year's five beneficiaries: the
Young Men's Christian Association of Macau, the Sheng
Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office, the
Macao Gaming Industry Employees Home, the Youth
Volunteers Association of Macao, and Bosco Youth Service
Network.
Sands China's
donations help support various responsible gaming
efforts of the NGOs, including parent-child responsible
gaming and financial management activities, roadshows,
workshops, trainings, sharing sessions, responsible
gaming promotional videos and quiz games, and
more.
Dr. Wilfred
Wong, president of Sands China Ltd., said: "Sands China
is pleased to continue our annual donations to Macao
NGOs doing important responsible gaming work in the
community. We are grateful for our collaborations over
the years, and look forward to continuing our joint
efforts to raise awareness and understanding of
responsible gaming in
Macao."
Sands China
remains committed to the personal well-being of its team
members and guests and recognises the importance of
responsible gaming to the Macao community. The company
continues to be a proactive supporter of the Macau SAR
government's "Lost Control, Lose Family" responsible
gaming promotions. Apart from its annual donations to
local NGOs, Sands China was the first gaming operator in
Macao to launch a self-exclusion programme in 2004, and
was a pioneer in including responsible gaming training
in its company-wide team member orientation programme.
Sands China established its comprehensive responsible
gaming programme in 2007, in an effort to develop an
environment and a culture of responsible gaming in
Macao.
