Popular Sands Shopping Carnival Coming Back This Summer for 5th Year
Free business platform for local SMEs Booth registration May 17-26
(Macao, May 15, 2024) – The Sands Shopping Carnival is coming back this summer, running at The Venetian® Macao's Cotai Expo for a fifth year July 18-21. With free entry, the popular annual carnival will be open noon to 10 p.m. daily, including a special invitation-only preview session on the first day.
The four-day 2024 Sands Shopping Carnival is an annual signature event for Sands China, having already run for four very successful years. The fun weekend destination is a summer hotspot for local residents and tourists, in line with the Macao government's "tourism+" initiative. It is Macao's largest sale event, presenting over 580 booths across nine exhibition zones. It also provides business opportunities for local SMEs and Sands retailers, offering them a free business platform.
The carnival debuted in 2020, and has since garnered widespread praise, drawing more than 420,000 visits to date. One of its major aims is to boost Macao's diversified economic development by creating synergy between local SMEs and international retail brands.
The 2024 Sands Shopping Carnival supports the Macao SAR government's economic revival policies and is organised by Sands China Ltd. and co-organised by the Macao Chamber of Commerce.

The family-friendly Sands Shopping Carnival offers huge discounts of up to 90 percent for a wide array of goods, and includes an international-cuisine food court area, activities and exciting games for children, and other attractions and performances.
Sneak peeks of activities such as the Little Master Chef Workshop, a new Hanfu styling contest and a new kids talent showdown, along with more information about the carnival and its attractions, will be announced in due course.
Sands China believes in prioritising local procurement and actively supports the development of local SMEs. The company's support to local SMEs has remained consistent since the launch of Sands China's Local Small, Medium and Micro Suppliers Support Programme with the Macao Chamber of Commerce in July 2015. The programme is in line with the Macao SAR government's initiative to "buy local" and demonstrates Sands China's commitment to supporting local enterprises as part of the company's corporate social responsibility efforts.
